Lou partially redeemed himself Saturday night, jamming out with Dave and John, and we were all thankful that he stuck to instrumentals, and did not sing. The same, however, could not be said for everyone, as we saw a case of "Belini Gone Wild." As I have said, I have never been drunk enough that I thought I could sing, but not everyone is blessed with that knowledge.
I know I am going backward here, but Friday was great as well, with Dave and Eric joining Jeremy for another jam session. The crowd enjoyed the music, and the wine, cleaning us out (once again!) of the Girls, the IP Merlot and a few others.
Liza did a nice job Thursday, introducing our tasters to a nice selection of wines. They were all popular enough that they moved out of the shop. It was a nice night - albeit a tad cool, and our Kure crowd were still able to enjoy the deck.
Saturday, we had our first official beer tasting. It went so well we have decided to do it every Saturday, 4-7 p.m. So, plan a Saturday afternoon trip to The Grind and get your beer on.
We are back to our normal hours Friday, with Jeremy (and who knows) playing. I may do a special on the Nouveau by the glass if no one buys it for Thanksgiving.
Don't forget we have a special tasting next Tuesday, featuring some nice wines from Kevin at Empire. Rumor has it there may be some food for this one (shhhhhhh). Regular time, 6-8 p.m. There will be a regular tasting on Thursday, and then a beer tasting Saturday. So, get those taste buds in the holiday spirit, because there will be plenty of opportunity to drink some wine and/or beer.
The Girls are back in the shop, as is the IP Merlot. We also pulled in a couple bottles of the Argyle, and the Monkey Business is also swinging in the rafters. So, no excuses
Don't worry about the post-turkey bloat, forget the Friday shopping, and come into 2 Wine Guys @ The Grind and let us pour you a glass.
